Throwaway

Throwaway

Throwaway is a short horror movie I co-directed with Brian Fitzpatrick in April 2008. We plan to have it cut and ready for the short film festival circuit by July. Here's the summary: Abby is new to Los Angeles. She takes a job working the graveyard shift at a home security company as an operator. With such a tough schedule, she spends her days like a vampire, sleeping while the sun is up. This rotation gets disturbed, however, when Abby is repeatedly awoken each day by the sounds of a Bum rummaging through her apartment's dumpster (which rests directly outside her bedroom window). When Abby decides she's had enough, she confronts the Bum in the hopes of negotiating for some daily solace. Only the Bum has other plans for Abby that have nothing to do with a little spare change.

If you sleepwalk through your days, you could bump into a nightmare.

Our Lady of Sorrow

Our Lady Of Sorrow

Our Lady Of Sorrow is both our precious child that we want to walk to the bus stop during its first day of school. It's also been the bane of our existence for the past four years. The film that all our friends, family, actors and crew have wondered when the hell it's going to finally happen. Well, a little thing called money has been in our way since day one. Yes, we've managed to raise some. Not nearly enough though. We even shot a trailer for the film to entice investors. And yes, it worked. But then everyone always seems to get cold feet last minute with this film. It just seemed a little ambitious an endeavor for us two first-time filmmakers to be taking on our as debut project. Hence, 'Absence' the film that's become our new 'debut film' which we directed in 2005...yes, with money we raised ourselves. Maybe after people see 'Absence', the tune on 'Our Lady of Sorrow' will change.

Postcards From The Future

Postcards From The Future: The Chuck Palahniuk Documentary

Postcards From The Future: The Chuck Palahniuk Documentary - In the years since we started Kinky Mule Films, we've keept busy with smaller projects on the side. Well one of the largest 'small projects' we took on was shooting what would become the first ever authorized documentary on bestselling cult author Chuck Palahniuk (Fight Club). The project was such a success that we were able to market it as a popular selling DVD on ChuckPalahniuk.net. We also had a premiere for the film in Portland, Oregon and were reviewed by most major papers in the area. You can also check out our IMDB page.
